Permanent deletion starts with you.
Use the in-app confirmation flow or submit a request from this page. We verify ownership, explain any necessary retention, and confirm the outcome. Uninstalling or logging out does not delete an account.
1. Two ways to start
From the app
- Open KROOZ Customer and sign into the account you want to delete.
- Open Account → Delete account.
- Review any active service, transaction or balance warnings. Request the confirmation code.
- Enter the code sent to the registered phone or email used by the account, then confirm permanent deletion.
Without the app
Use the request form below, email admin@mykrooz.com, or sign into your existing account at mykrooz.com/account and choose Settings → Delete account. You do not need to reinstall the app or create a new account to submit a web/email request.
For email requests, include “KROOZ Customer — account deletion” as the subject and identify the registered phone/email. Explain if you are an authorized representative. Never send passwords, sign-in/deletion codes, full payment details or identity images in the initial request.
2. What this request covers
A request for KROOZ Customer asks for permanent closure of that app account and deletion or lawful reduction of associated personal information. It is not a request merely to pause the account, log out or uninstall the app.
Customer and driver/courier accounts can be separate even when they use the same contact details. If you want both deleted, identify both accounts or send a request through each app’s deletion page. Deleting one does not automatically close the other.
You may also contact us to exercise a specific data right without closing an account. The KROOZ Customer Privacy Policy explains the information involved.
3. Confirmation and ownership checks
The in-app flow confirms ownership using a one-time code sent to an account contact. For web/email requests, support verifies that you control the account or have valid authority to act for its holder before changing it. This protects against someone requesting deletion of another person’s account.
Support may request a reply or a secure account-verification step. We do not ask you to email a password, card security code or one-time sign-in code. If you no longer control the registered phone/email, explain that in your request so support can review an appropriate alternative.
4. Active trips, money and account access
Before confirming, review wallet funds, referral credits, unpaid fares and any pending refunds or withdrawals and save any receipts or statements you still need. The app displays a warning about positive balances before confirmation. If you need a payment, refund or dispute review, contact support first. Deletion does not remove statutory payment or refund rights.
The current self-service flow can be blocked by an active trip/delivery, a pending or processing withdrawal, or a negative wallet balance. Finish or cancel an active service safely and review outstanding transactions. You can still submit the web/email request below if self-service is blocked. Support reviews the data request separately from the records needed to resolve an outstanding obligation.
Deleting an account does not automatically cancel a debt, undo a completed transaction or delete records that must lawfully be preserved. It ends access to that account and may affect future participation in account-based programs under their terms and applicable law.
5. Information removed or changed
On successful confirmation, the current core account-erasure process:
- Replaces the account’s name, clears its core phone/email/profile-photo fields and marks the account permanently deleted.
- Revokes active refresh sessions, removes saved payment-card references and push-device registrations, and clears supported payout contact fields.
- Opts the deleted account out of newsletters and prevents ordinary sign-in to it.
- Saved favorite-driver associations, trip-sharing contacts associated with your customer trips, and stored recipient contact/instruction fields for those deliveries are cleared by the account-erasure flow.
Associated information in other records and with service providers is subject to the retention review below. A “deleted account” status alone is not a representation that every database record, attachment, backup or provider-held copy has already been erased.
6. Information that may remain, and why
- Trip and delivery records: dates, addresses/coordinates, service events and records needed to address a safety incident, dispute or applicable transport obligation.
- Financial records: ledger entries, payments, invoices, refunds, chargebacks and withdrawal records needed for accounting, tax, fraud prevention or legal claims.
- Limited security and support evidence: relevant correspondence, audit records, verification outcomes and a record that a deletion request was handled, where needed for an identified lawful purpose.
These records may remain personal data even after core profile fields are removed. They must be limited to what is necessary for the applicable obligation or unresolved matter, rather than used to continue the closed account or market to it. The duration depends on the specific statutory retention/claim period and whether a legitimate incident or dispute remains open. Ask for the applicable basis and period for a retained category.
Protected backups may hold earlier copies pending normal replacement. Provider-held data, including identity/biometric verification information, needs the relevant provider review or erasure instruction; payment providers may have their own legally required records. See the retention section of the Privacy Policy.
7. Timing, confirmation and appeals
The core self-service erasure runs when a valid deletion code is confirmed and the flow reports success. Web/email requests require ownership verification and support processing; submitting a request form does not itself delete the account.
We handle requests without undue delay and within the applicable legal deadline. Where GDPR applies, the usual period for a rights-request response is one month; an applicable Texas consumer request has a 45-day response period. If additional permitted time is required, we must explain the reason and expected timing. A specific retained record can remain longer only for its applicable lawful purpose.
We will confirm the outcome and explain any material information retained or any refusal. You can reply with “Privacy appeal” to challenge a decision, and you may contact the competent privacy authority. Requests do not require marketing consent or purchasing a service.
8. Request account and data deletion
Submit a request directly to the KROOZ support inbox. The form asks only for information needed to identify the account, verify the request and respond. No sign-in or app installation is required.
This form submits a request for review. It does not immediately erase an account or send a deletion-confirmation code.
9. Common questions
Does uninstalling the app delete my account?
No. Uninstalling removes the app from that device. Use an account-deletion route to close the account and request associated-data deletion.
Can I request deletion if I cannot sign in?
Yes. Use this page’s form or email admin@mykrooz.com. Explain that you cannot sign in. Support will review ownership verification without requiring you to create another account.
Can a closed account be restored?
Permanent deletion is not intended as a reversible pause. If you later create a new account, the old account history, balance or program status is not automatically transferred. A lawful retention copy does not make the old account usable again.
Does this cancel an Apple or Google subscription?
Account deletion and store subscription cancellation are separate actions. If you have an active store subscription associated with the service, manage it in your Apple or Google subscription settings. Deletion does not itself request a store refund.
